BWA American Rescue Plan Grant
The Bureau of Women’s Affairs received $129,874 from the federal Fiscal Recovery Funds awarded to the Government of Guam. This grant is funding the following:
- $500 high school completion scholarship program for a total of 36 female residents who need to earn a high school diploma or GED.
- A BWA/Guam Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (GCASAFV) media awareness/education campaign addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and teen pregnancy.
- Personnel funding for one-half of a Program Coordinator I position; the other half to be funded by the BWA FARE grant (the PCI will be responsible for media buys for both the FARE and the BWA awareness/education campaigns and publicity for the scholarship campaign).
